How do I change the temperature range, alert notifications, and/or alerting times of a sensor?

Sensors use device templates to control the temperature ranges, alert notifications, and/or alerting times:

• If you need to change the temperature range, alert notifications, or alerting times for all sensors in all locations that use an inherited device template, see the following in Managing Device Templates:
  • Modifying a Device Template
  • Managing Temperature Alert Notifications
  • Managing Inactive Alert Notifications
  • Managing Alert Times
• If you need to change the temperature ranges, alert notifications, and/or alerting times for a selected few sensors, then you will need to carry out the following:
  • Make a copy of the original device template.
  • Modify the copy to have the temperature ranges, alert notifications, and alerting times you want for the sensors you are wanting to change.
  • Modify the sensors to use the copy of the device template instead of the original template.
