How do I modify an inherited device template?

Answer

You can't. An inherited device template can only be modified by users with access to the group where the device template was created.

What you can do is the following:

1. Copy the inherited template to the location or group where you want the modifications to take effect.
2. Make the needed changes to the copy, including changing the name (we recommend replacing the work COPY is an identify for the active location).
3. Edit the sensors that use the template, changing the Device Template selected from the inherited one to the copy.
