The Mobile App uses digital probes to take temperature readings from equipment and products. These probes connect to the tablet using a Bluetooth connection:
- Some are handheld probes that manually record temperatures and pass the readings on to a checklist item in the Mobile App, such as the ThermaPen Blue probe on the left.
- Some are in place simulator probes that automatically take temperatures and pass the readings on to a checklist item in the Mobile App, such as the DishTemp Blue dishwasher plate simulator on the right.
Checking for an Active Probe
When you start a checklist with a probe item in it or a timed log, the Mobile App checks to see if a digital probe is available and then connects with that probe:
- If a digital probe is found, a message appears at the bottom to let you now the Mobile App is now connected to the probe and it can be used:
- If a digital probe is not found, the Mobile App displays the following message:
Click OK and connect a digital probe to the tablet.
