The Settings function allows you to adjust how the Mobile App is implemented on a tablet. These settings are only for the active tablet and do not impact any other tablets registered for the same location.
The Settings screen is accessed from the Mobile App menu:
There are three sections to the Settings screen:
Options
The options fields are where you can enable or disable options for the Mobile App:
Each option has three states as identified by the controls to the right of each description:
- Light gray means the setting is available, but not enabled:
- To enable it, drag the button to the right until it turns green.
- Dark gray means the setting is not available because of a setting in the Server App
- Green means the setting is available and enabled:
- To disable it, drag the button to the left until it turns light gray.
There are six options that you can enable:
- Loud Alarms uses a loud alarm for checklist and timed log alarms instead of the standard alarm.
- Use Default Device Sounds uses the sounds from the tablet setup for the application rather than the sounds provided by ComplianceMate.
- Use probe colors instead of aliases will refer to a probe by its color designation, rather than its alias when prompting you to use that probe. Probe colors for a checklist are set through the Behavior options for a checklist in the Server App.
- Save photos to device saves checklist photos to your device, rather than leaving them only on the ComplianceMate server.
- Disable Auto Sync controls the synchronizing process between the Mobile App and the ComplianceMate Server during the standard checklist completion process:
- If Disable Auto Sync is disabled (default), then synchronizing is carried out at several points during the checklist completion process, as indicated by the synchronizing icon:
- If Disable Auto Sync is enabled, then synchronizing only occurs during the Phone Home Times set for the location in the Server App.
- This does not impact Manually Synchronizing Data.
- Reusable checklists and timed logs continue to use auto sync, regardless of this setting.
- If Disable Auto Sync is disabled (default), then synchronizing is carried out at several points during the checklist completion process, as indicated by the synchronizing icon:
- Show List Categories Tab as Default causes the Checklist function to show the Categories tab instead of All Checklists when you access the function from the Mobile App menu:
App Version
The App version section, which describes the current version of the Mobile App installed on the tablet:
- The App version number and build number (in parentheses)
- The API version, which references the Server App version for your location
- The Device ID, captured when the QR code was scanned during registration
- The Translation Language selected for the device
- The Tablet Language set for the device
