Knowing When to Replace Sensor Batteries

  • Updated

The obvious indicator that it is past the time to replace the batteries is when failed sensor alerts start coming in, and you observe that the on light of the sensor is no longer lit/flashing.

The better, more proactive indicator, can be found on the sensor cards of a location's Dashboard in the Server App or Mobile App:

The sensor cards have an icon in the lower left corner that tells you the state of the batteries in the sensor:

  • Green means the batteries are fully charged.
  • Yellow means the battery strength is getting low.
  • Red means the batteries need replacing.

We recommend that when the indicator turns yellow, you get a replacement set of batteries ready.

When the indicator turns red, replace the batteries - don't wait for the sensor to stop working.
