  • Updated

You know your batteries need to be replaced (more info >)...

You have everything you need to replace the batteries (more info >)...

You have a fresh new set of the correct batteries ready use (more info >)...

The actual process of replacing the sensor batteries can begin!

Because you will be removing the sensor from the equipment it is monitoring and removing its batteries, you will trigger an alert; therefore, you need to pause alerts for the sensor while you are replacing the batteries:

  1. Access the location's Dashboard through the Server App.
  2. Locate the card for the sensor whose batteries you are replacing:

  3. Click the pause icon, located in the lower right corner of the card. The pause dialog appears for the sensor:

  4. You can accept the default of 2 hours, or you can increase the time by sliding the bar if you believe it will take a longer time to remove and reinstall the sensor (battery replacement only takes a few minutes). Click Update Sensor. The card is updated with a notification at the top that alerts are paused, and the pause icon is replaced with a resume icon:

You are now ready to replace the batteries
