Battery Replacement 3: Verify the Sensor is Working

  • Updated

After replacing the batteries in the sensor but before mounting it, it is best to verify that the sensor is, in fact:

  • Communicating with the Gateway
  • Collecting data
  • Uploading that data to the ComplianceMate Server

About 15 minutes after you have replaced the batteries, carry out the following:

  1. Access the location's Dashboard through the Server App.
  2. Locate the card for the sensor whose batteries you just replaced:

  3. Verify that the following is true:
    • The battery icon should now be green.
    • The graph line should have continued.
      • The readings may be way off the normal because of the change in readings.
      • There may be a gap between the time when you removed the batteries and when you put them back in.

If the above is not true, wait another 15 minutes or so to allow for communications between the senor and the gateway to be re-established.

If that doesn't work, you may need to reinstall the batteries.

If that still doesn't work, contact ComplianceMate support for assistance.

Once you have verified the sensor is working, it is time to reinstall the sensor and resume alerts [GO>]
