Answer for Android 13 and Earlier

To change the tablet temperature units from Fahrenheit (F°) to Celsius (C°) or Celsius (C°) to Fahrenheit (F°), you must change the default language of the tablet:

  • For Fahrenheit (F°), use one of the following languages:
    • English (US)
    • English (Belize)
    • English (Palau)
    • English (Bahamas)
    • English (Cayman Islands).
  • For Celsius (C°), use one of the following:
    • English (UK)
    • English (Canada)
    • Any version of English, other than those listed for Fahrenheit
    • Any other language

To change the default language, carry out the following:

  1. On the tablet, go to Settings.
  2. Go to General management > Language and input > Language.
  3. Choose which language you want to make the default:
    • If the language you want is on the list of languages, tap, hold and drag the move key (UpDownArrow.jpg) of the language you want to make the default up to position 1 and release. Tap Apply. This is now the default language.
    • If the language you want is not on the list of languages, tap Add Language and choose one from the list that appears:
      • For many languages listed, you will also need to choose a specific country or region.
      • A prompt appears asking you what language you want to make the default:
        • Tap Set as default to make the language you are adding the default. The language is added to the list in position 1. This is now the default language.
        • Tap Keep current the current default language. The language is added to the bottom of the list and the default language remains unchanged.
