Can we use a TempTest™ Blue, RayTemp™ Blue, or Thermapen™ IR Blue probe?

Answer for the TempTest™ Blue

Yes, you can use the TempTest™ Blue probe with the Mobile App; however:

• You will need to purchase it directly from Thermoworks (https://www.thermoworks.com/temptest-blue/), as ComplianceMate does not sell that model of digital probe.
• You may need to pair it with the tablet before you can connect it to the Mobile App.

To pair the TempTest™ Blue probe with the Mobile App, carry out the following:

1. On your tablet, go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth. The probe should be an available device.
   • Unpair any other devices until you have connected the probe to the Mobile App. Once the probe is connected, you can reconnect the devices you unpaired.
   • If you don't see the probe as available, use a ballpoint pen to reset the probe by pressing the pen into the reset hole three times. The probe will reset and should appear as available.
2. Check the number on the probe to make sure it matches the number on the available list.
3. Tap the number on the tablet and enter 1234 as the pin. The probe is paired with the tablet.
4. Go to Settings > Security and make sure that Location is enabled.
5. Go to Connecting a Digital Probe to the Mobile App.

Answer for the RayTemp™ Blue

No, you currently cannot use the RayTemp™ Blue probe with the Mobile App. This is an infrared probe, and the Mobile App does not currently support infrared probes. We do have plans to add this functionality in the not-to-distant future. We suggest you follow this page, as we will update it when we add IR support and your will receive a notification.
