When you take an image through the ComplianceMate Mobile App, the image is created by the default Camera App on the tablet and stored in the application's cache (A/K/A, AppCache). it is not stored as an individual file.
The amount of storage space required for each image is determined by the following:
- the default Picture Size setting in the Camera App (a higher pixel count increases the image size over a small count)
- the default Picture Quality setting in the Camera App (higher quality increases the image size over lower quality)
- the content, itself (a complex and colorful image increases the image size over a simple image, such as a piece of paper).
For example:
- With the camera settings at 8M for Picture Size and High for Picture Quality, the file size for this image was 677KB:
- With the camera settings reduced to 5M for Picture Size and Standard for Picture Quality, the file size for this image was 383KB, or 295KB (~44%) less.
If you take a large number of images and want to reduce the storage requirements for each, see How do I reduce the amount of storage required for images taken in the Mobile App?
