Answer
Once you have completed a Factory data reset on your tablet, the Start screen will appear when the tablet restart. The process, in summary, is as follows (links to detailed instructions from Samsung and Google are available in the Related Links below):
- Click Start.
- Agree to the Samsung terms and conditions.
- Choose your Wi-Fi network.
- Copy apps and data saved from a previous tablet, if needed, or click Don't copy. The Google Sign in appears:
- If you have a Google account you want to use, sign in on the screens provided (see the link below).
- If you want to create a new Google account, click Create account and follow instructions on the screens provided (see the link below), this includes:
- Entering your first name (required) and last name (optional).
- Creating a unique Gmail address.
- Entering basic information (birthday, gender, etc.).
- Creating a password.
- Entering a phone number.
- Agreeing to the Google terms and conditions
- Protect your tablet:
- You can set up a Pattern, Pin, or Password to provide when unlocking your phone.
- You can skip this step by choosing Not Now and confirming with SKIP ANYWAY:
- You can protect your tablet later through Settings.
- Enable/Disable Google Assistant:
- Follow the instruction on the screen,
- You can also skip by choosing No Thanks.
- Review Google Services to enable, and tap Accept.
- Sign into your Samsung Account, or Skip.
- Check out useful features, then tap FINISH. Your tablet's home screen appears. Your tablet is ready to use.
To add apps, download and open Google Play to download and install apps from the Google Play Store.
