Answer
Step 1
If the charge port has not been exposed to water, you may have received the Moisture Detected message in error. If so:
- Unplug the charger.
- Press the Down Volume and Power buttons at the same time.
- Reconnect the charger. The tablet should now begin charging.
Step 2
If that does not work, try clearing the cache for the USB port:
- Unplug the charger.
- Go to Settings > Apps, and tap the 3-dot icon to show the menu.
- Tap Show system apps. The list of apps refreshes.
- Scroll down and tap on USB Settings.
- Tap Storage.
- Tap Clear cache.
- After the cache has cleared, reconnect the charger. The tablet should now begin charging.
Step 3
If that does not work, there may actually be moisture in your USB port:
- Unplug the charger.
- Wipe the tablet with a soft, dry cloth.
- Gently (very gently) shake the phone 5-10 times with the USB port pointing down.
- Place your phone on a dry cloth in a well ventilated area, or try drying with a fan (do not use a hair dryer or similar device, as the excessive heat could damage the tablet).
- Reconnect the charger. The tablet should now be charging.
Step 4
If none of the above works, then you will need to have someone who repairs Samsung tablets take a look to see if they can resolve the issue.
