Recording Prep Products into TrackAssure
To record Prep Products into TrackAssure, carry out the following:

If the Prep screen is not already active, tap the Prep icon at the bottom of the page:
The Prep screen appears with a list of recent entries that are still In prep (i.e., they have not expired):

If no entries are in prep, the screen appears as follows:

To add a new Prep:

If you want to use the barcode on the package you received, tap Scan Barcode. The Scan Product screen appears:
Position the barcode from the product within the frame:

If you want manually search the list of received products (e.g., if there was no barcode on the product), tap Search Manually. The Select manually screen appears:
Tap on the product that was recently received that you want to use.
- You can search the list using the Product name or GTIN.
The Prep Item details screen appears:

- In the Prep item name field, enter a description of how the product was prepped (e.g., Chopped product, Shredded product, etc.).
- The Prep date field is automatically populated with the current date and time.
- You can tap on the field and choose a new time for today if the time displayed is not correct for when the product was prepped.
- In the Prepped item shelf life field, enter the number of days (default) or hours before the prepped item expires:
- If you enter hours, be sure to tap on days and choose hours from the drop-down list that appears.
- When finished, tap Save. The screen is closed and the Prep screen appears with the item added.
Viewing and Editing a Prep Item
You can view and edit a prep item while it is still in prep. Once it expires, you cannot edit it.
To edit a prep item, carry out the following:

If the Prep screen is not already active, tap the Prep icon at the bottom of the page:
The Prep screen appears with a list of recent entries that are still In prep (i.e., they have not expired):

Tap on the Prep item you want to edit. The Prep Item details screen appears:
- Modify the Prep item name, the Prep date, and/or Prepped item shelf life, as needed.
- When finished, click Save. The screen is closed and the Prep screen appears with the updates applied to the item.
Print a Prep Item Label with TrackAssure
From TrackAssure, you can print a label for a Prep item.
Before you begin, make sure that you have a printer paired with your tablet using a BlueTooth connection.
To print a label, carry out the following:
- Access the details screen of the Prep Item you want to print:

- If you are the process of adding the item, the label can be printed during that process.
- If you have saved the label and closed the Prep Item screen, you can open it using the steps in Viewing and Editing a Prep Item.

Tap Print. The Print label form appears:
At the bottom of the screen is the name of the printer where the label will be printed.

If there is no printer paired, TrackAssure will attempt to discover a paired printer:

If TrackAssure cannot find a printer to use, an error message appears:
Tapping on the Printer not configured link displays more information:
You can instruct TrackAssure to Rescan or click Got it to close the message.

- Tap in the Paper size field and choose the size of the label you want to print. Make sure that size is loaded in your printer.
- Use the plus (+) and minus (-) signs next to Number of labels to determine the number of labels you want printed. Make sure there are enough labels (or sheets of labels) to support the number entered.

When finished, click Print. The labels are printed to the paired printer:
