For this article, we are using screen captures from the Server App. In the Mobile App, the screens have the same information and functionality as those in the Server App, but the layout and formatting have been modified to fit the smaller screens found on tablets and other smart devices.
The Filter
To view this report, select Daily Comparisons in the Report Type field. This report can be further filtered based on the following:
- Date Range
- You will first need to choose a Start Date using the calendar tool that appears when you click in the field.
- You will then choose a Date Range value from between 2 Previous days and 7 Previous days before the Start Date to compare, inclusive off the start date.
- Groups
- Locations
- Device Templates or Sensors
Because your filter always includes a specific date, you will not be able to save it for future use.
The Report
A card for each sensor is displayed on the report:
- If your active workspace is a group, this will be cards for all locations in the group or its child groups.
- If your active workspace is a location, this will be cards for that location.
Each card functions the same as the cards found on the Dashboard in the Mobile App and Server App, only the graph is constructed by overlapping the 24-hour blocks of data from each selected day for comparison (each day uses a unique color to provide contrast between the different days):
- If you click on one of the graph lines, it will become darker and in focus, while the others will become lighter so you can see how the selected graph line compares to all the others:
Other than that, you can do the following on this report:
- You can zoom into the graph.
- Clicking Device or Location opens the the Sensor Readings report, filtered to only show readings from the selected sensor for the past 24 hours.
- Clicking the pause icon displays the pause sensor alert notifications dialog so you can set a pause. The icon switches to resume.
- Clicking the resume icon opens the clear pause dialog so you can clear the sensor alert notification pause. The icon switches to pause.
- Clicking RESOLVE ALERT at the top of the card, if it appears, allows you to resolve the issue that triggered the alert.
This report does not provide an option for creating a document. If you want to create a document for comparison, use the Sensor Readings report, choosing a Custom Date Range (to match the range you used on this report) and the Alias of the sensor whose days you want to compare.
