Viewing Sensor Alert History

The Alert History page lists all alert notifications. It can be filtered to show alert notifications for a specific Date Range, Groups, Locations, notifications Types, and Device Templates or sensor Aliases.

To access the Alert History page, click Notifications > Sensor Alerts > Alert History:

Filtering the List

You can filter the list to show a specific set of alert notifications:

  1. Enter the filter criteria you want to apply:
    • Choose a predefined Date Range:

      or a Custom Date Range by selecting a Start Date and End Date using the calendar tool:

         

    • Choose which child Groups you want to include on the list:

         

      • Only applies if the active workspace is a group.
      • If not child groups exist or none are selected, the filter defaults to the active group.
      • Does not apply if your active workspace is a location.
    • Choose which Locations you want to include on the list:

         

      • Does not apply if your active workspace is a location, as the filter defaults to that location.
    • Choose what Types of alert notifications you want to include on the list:

         

    • Choose which sensors you want to include notifications from based on the Device Template of the sensor:

         

      or the Alias of the sensor:

         

      • You can only populate one of these fields.
  2. Click Apply. The resulting list of alert notifications appears:

    • You can collapse the filter area by clicking Filters located below the Apply button.
    • You can expand the filter area by clicking Filters again.

The list provides the following information:

  • The Location where the sensor is located.
  • The Device Name (Alias) for the sensor.
  • The Device Template used for the sensor.
  • The Alert Conditions that triggered the alert.
  • The Type of notification sent.
    • Note that if there were several types of notifications sent out for one alert, they will each have their own entry on the list.
  • The date and time when the notification was Sent at:

    • If the notification failed, the date and time will be preceded with Failed at:.
    • If the alert failed because the alert type is Phone or SMS and none of the recipients have a phone number, an additional message appears below the date and time that reads * No phone numbers assigned.

    Updated to include new message on Alert History report for failed phone calls where none of the call tree recipients had phone numbers.
