Pausing and Resuming Sensor Alert Notifications

  • Updated

There are two types of sensor alert notification pauses:

  • Sensor-specific pauses, which are set by either of the following methods:
    • Automatically by the system after notifications have been sent for a triggered alert.
    • Manually by a user as needed.
  • Group pauses, which apply to all sensors at all locations within the group, are set manually by a user as needed.

While alert notifications are paused for a sensor:

  • Notifications will not be sent out even if another alert is triggered by the sensor.
  • The sensor will continue to collect and report data.

A sensor alert pause pause ends when one of the following occurs:

  • The pause period expires (applies to sensor and group pauses)
  • The pause is manually cleared (applies to sensor pauses)
  • The pause is manually deleted (applies to group pauses)
