Completing a Web List Item

  • Updated

The following takes you through the process of using the Server App to complete each type of item entry field found in a Web List.

Note that there are differences between completing a checklist item in the Mobile App and a Web List item in the Server App:

  • Responses are processed when you submit the completed Web List form, not when you enter the response as is the case in the Mobile App.
    • If you do not respond to a required list item, you will not be able to save the list until you have done so.
  • An invalid response to a Web List item does not trigger a corrective action, but merely records that the response is invalid.
  • Because invalid responses do not trigger corrective actions, there is no need for a Retry function.
  • If a Web List item is not required, you can skip it by leaving it blank (there is no N/A button).
  • You cannot add comments or images to any of your responses on a Web List.
  • Unlike the Mobile App, you cannot connect a digital probe to the Server App in order to record your temperature. Instead, you will need to have a thermometer that you can use to take a reading, and then enter the value in the appropriate field (this would be similar to a Manual Temperature Entry field).
  • There is no In Progress status for a Web List (i.e., you cannot respond to some items, save, and return to finish the list). You must complete the who list before saving and existing.
  • There is no edit function for a completed Web List.
    • When you save a completed Web List, the responses are saved on the server.
    • If you open a completed list, all fields will be blank with no reference to earlier answers.
    • If you complete the list again, those answers will be added to earlier saved sets of answers.
    • The behavior is very similar to that of Reusable Lists.
